The shape of the library first
We currently catalogue 676 Pragmatic Play titles. By category:
| Category | Titles | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Slots | 628 | ≈93% |
| Live casino | 29 | ≈4% |
| Table games | 16 | ≈2% |
| Crash games | 3 | <1% |
Slots take the overwhelming majority, which fits PP's long-standing centre of gravity. But the interesting figure isn't that ratio — it's how those 628 are organised internally. They are not 628 independent ideas.
Grouping by name: a few families take a large bite
Grouped by English title, the largest series in our library are:
| Series | Titles catalogued | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Big Bass | 28 | Big Bass Bonanza / Big Bass Football Bonanza / Big Bass Trophy Catch |
| John Hunter | 9 | Book of Tut / Tomb of the Scarab Queen / Galileo's Secrets |
| Dog House | 8 | The Dog House / The Big Dog House / The Dog House Royal Hunt |
| Sweet Bonanza | 6 | Sweet Bonanza / Sweet Bonanza 2500 / Sweet Bonanza Super Scatter |
| Floating Dragon | 6 | Wild Horses / Year Of The Snake / New Year Festival Ultra Megaways Hold Spin |
| Starlight | 6 | Starlight Princess / Starlight Princess Super Scatter / Starlight Wins |
| 5 Lions | 6 | 5 Lions Megaways / 5 Lions Reborn / 5 Lions Megaways 2 |
| Hot to Burn | 6 | Hot to Burn / 7 Deadly Free Spins / Multiplier |
Those eight families alone account for 75 titles. Big Bass on its own runs to 28 — roughly 4.5% of every slot we catalogue. One fishing theme, holding up a product line substantial enough to stand by itself.
Series-building here isn't reissuing the same game. Take Big Bass: the library holds a base version, a Megaways version, a Hold Spinner version, a Christmas version and a football version. Same IP shell, different mechanical skeleton and seasonal skin underneath.
Three suffixes, one reissue logic
Filter the names again and three recurring suffixes show up, each standing for a direction of rework:
- Megaways (50 titles): a structural suffix that cuts across families. It belongs to no single series; it grafts variable reels onto existing IP — Great Rhino, Buffalo King, 5 Lions, Release the Kraken and Dragon Pots all have one.
- Numeric: 1000 / 2500 (11 titles): Sweet Bonanza 1000, Sweet Bonanza 2500, Gates Of Olympus 1000, Sugar Rush 1000, Starlight Princess 1000, Lucky Tiger 1000, Big Bass Bonanza 1000, Wisdom Of Athena 1000 and more. The number usually points to a raised multiplier ceiling — the "same game, steeper" direction.
- Super Scatter (5 titles): Sugar Rush, Starlight Princess, Sweet Bonanza, Mahjong Wins and Gates Of Olympus each have one. What changes is the scatter trigger structure — and all five happen to be the flagship title of their respective family.
All three hang off the same set of headline IPs, but pull in different directions: Megaways reworks the ways count, the numeric versions rework the ceiling, Super Scatter reworks the trigger. Which suggests the reissues aren't random reskins so much as an exhaustive search of how many structures one familiar shell can hold.
Why a content studio ends up going this way
From a product standpoint, series-building solves a recognition problem. A name a player already knows removes the need to relearn the theme, the art style and the symbol set; attention goes straight to "what changed in this one." For the studio, art assets, audio and IP recognition all carry over, and the new investment concentrates on mechanics and maths.
The cost is just as visible. The bigger the family, the less any single title stands out. With 28 Big Bass games in the library, the name alone no longer tells you which one runs variable reels and which one runs locked respins. Which is part of why a reference site exists at all — to make the mechanic tag, rather than the name, the first thing you sort by.
Seeing a familiar series name is no guarantee it runs the rules you remember from the version you played. Megaways, Hold Spin, 1000 and Super Scatter are all structural cues — spot one and go read the mechanic description on the game page again.
What this piece does and doesn't do
Every count above is an objective tally of our own catalogue, grouped by English title, and can be checked against the game library on this site. Grouping by name may not match the studio's internal definition of a series, and we have no visibility into titles we haven't catalogued — so the figures describe our library, nothing wider.
This is a neutral observation about product structure. It rates no game as good or bad, recommends no game or platform, encourages no betting, and carries no affiliate or referral links. Mechanic descriptions and parameters for every title are on its own game page, and all figures we list carry a "parameters pending verification" note.
